A thorough Home Inspection - that is our goal, our trademark.

There are some in the Home Inspection profession that define a thorough inspection as one that includes a trip onto the roof. Climbing up a ladder, stepping off on the roof to stomp around peeking at the particulars; vents, chimneys, roofing materials, flashings and so forth.

Ok - that sounds good until the Home Inspector encounters:

  • steep roof, metal roof, cedar shakes
  • old shingles, new shingles on a hot, sunny day
  • snow covered, wet from rain
  • two story roof, flat roof, and so on and so on......

How do we more consistently provide a thorough roof inspection?

We accomplish a through roof inspection more consistently by utilizing an Unmanned Aircraft System, or drone.

And not just any drone, we utilize the advanced technology of the DJI Mavic Air, as pictured on the left. This state-of-the-art aircraft features premium flight controls, for safe and efficient operation.

It's 4K camera mounted on a 3 axis gimbal provides outstanding imagery, both still photos or videos.

Certainly the image on the right is not a glamour shot, but the photo demonstrates the benefits of the high resolution camera.

The ability to "zoom-in" on a particular roof element, like this gas water heater flue cap and flashing, allows us to make a careful inspection...... just like if we were on the roof!

Note: The shingles on the roof pictured were in such poor condition it would have not been advisable whatsoever to be walking around on it.

The FAA requires non-hobbiest operators of an Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) to hold their Remote Pilot Certificate.

We earned that Certificate by passing the aeronautical knowledge test at an FAA-approved knowledge testing center, in our case at Exec 1 Aviation located at the Ankeny airport.

We look forward to flying over your roof soon!
